Bernese Mountain Dog X Bouvier Des Flandres

Everyone searches for the light-hearted, goofy, lovable and companionable Bernese Mountain Dog! The Poodle brings in intelligence, a non-shedding quality, playfulness and when paired with the Bernese a hybrid vigor for a longer lifespan than the Bernese has alone. For 7 years before I started breeding Bernedoodles exclusively I bred purebred Standard Poodles, I will always love them, always have more of them than any other dog at my home, as my pets and part of my breeding program. They will always bring a special quality to the pups I breed and raise here.
As a breeder of any purebred dog will tell you, it is to breed for the bettering of health and temperament that we strive for. I have taken this commitment and personally expanded it to the hybrid breeds I have, to provide supreme puppies for homes, in families and to excel in being amazing companions to old and young alike, to provide experiences in the short 8 weeks I have most pups that aid in the training and adjusting of being in a new home and start their life off as healthy as possible by coming from healthy, health tested and happy, confident & temperament approved parents in a clean, home environment.
In the years of breeding Poodles I can comment that the only short-coming this breed has,in my opinion, although bred from amazing tempermented parents, giving them all the experiences and socialization possible, was that they could be shy or timid of odd things or specific people. IF there was a timid temperament it took a lot of diligent work to overcome this. By breeding a Poodle to a Bernese I have seen this fade out due to the playful Poodle being paired with the never-a-stranger/friendly Bernese to produce incredible Bernedoodles, which I will now always breed! (From my first Bernedoodle litter, I did a complete switch, I was that impressed!)
By pairing the Bernese with a Bouvier Des Flandres, they are gaining a higher sense of confidence and whit (that the breed is known for), maintaining the thick/bulkier body frame, while still adding the non-shedding hair that has a slight wavy and soft in texture. If anything is "lost" to this pairing it may be the amount of white each pup will have, simply due to the Bouvier not having the same color diversity as the Poodle. But I personally believe this to be a mute point when considering the personality benefits.
I would never "put down" a Poodle, Bernese, or Bouvier, as each has their own personality traits or health issues on their own that can be considered negative. I am striving to maintain a promise that I started breeding with, and bring to every owner of one of my dogs... That I will breed for health, personality, beauty and temperament! That I will love my dogs and their puppies as my own until they are in the arms of their new owners, and even then still be an advocate and supporter their whole life!
